However, the main gates are opened at 8.30am every morning by the Head Teacher. Pupils should aim to arrive at this time. In the case of inclement weather, pupils will be asked to go straight in to school. If the weather is fine, pupils wait until 8.40am for the first whistle [everybody stands still]; the second whistle [Years 3, 4 and 5 go into the building]; and the third whistle [Year 6 go into the building]

We are happy for Year 3 Parents to accompany their child to the classroom, but we ask that Parents of children in Years 4, 5 and 6 allow their children to go into class by themselves, as we start lessons straight away.

The daily timetable is as follows:

Daily routine:

            8.30 – 8.40         Arrival

            8.45 – 9.00         Year 3 parents - class contact;
                                       Years 4, 5 and 6 – 15 minutes focused activity

           9.00  - 9.30        Assembly/Class working time/Choir ( depending on day)

           9.30 - 10.30       Lesson time

          10.30 – 10.45     Morning break – healthy snack time!

           12.00 – 1.00        Lunch break

           2.00 – 2.15          Afternoon break – re-energise the brain!

           3.15                     End of school day

We are very happy for parents to come and collect their children from school - in fact we encourage it! Again, if you would like to speak to your child's teacher, they will normally be available for a short time at the end of the day.

We also ask that you observe our rules on not cycling, skateboarding or scootering in the playground at any time. We also discourage football before and after school due to the safety of all children coming into and leaving the premises.

The main school gates are locked at 3.30 p.m. to allow the After School Club to use the playground safely.
