The Library/Resource Centre

The Library/Resource Centre is at the front of the school and is situated directly opposite the main entrance.
It is a large, welcoming and well furnished area, which can accommodate approximately eighty people, and is a popular choice of venue for many of the activities, curricular and extracurricular, that take place in the school.
It is run by John Clarkson, who has been fulltime librarian at Trinity Academy since 1987, and Kay Moffat, who works in the library two days a week and who has been in the school since 2007.

Things that can be found in the Library/ Resource Centre include :
Over 6, 000 books
7 computers, all with internet points, which pupils and staff can book out.
'The Herald', 'The Daily Telegraph' and 'The Metro' newspapers, all of which are available on a daily basis.

Some of the activities that take place in the Library/Resource Centre are :
All first and second year pupils have a library period once a week.
Information handling/library skill sessions
Regular author visits.
The Chess Club, which runs at lunchtimes from Mondays to Thursdays.

The Homework Zone, which runs on Tuesday nights from between 3.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m.
A dropin Careers Clinic run by Trinity Academy's lunch time, from 8.20 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. and until 4.30 p.m. on Tuesdays.
